The 8 Best Bed Sheets

The 8 Best Bed Sheets

I used to think sheets were just sheets. You buy a set, you use it until it gets a hole, you buy another one. But after investing in a couple of really good sets over the past few years, I’m a total convert. The right bedding really does make a difference in how well you sleep.

It’s crazy how many options are out there now. There’s percale, sateen, bamboo, flannel… it’s a lot to sort through. So, I’ve put together a list of the sheets I’ve personally tried, loved, or have on my wishlist based on what I’ve seen and heard from friends. Here are my top picks for 2026.

Our Top Bed Sheet Reviews

Cozy Earth Bamboo Viscose Sheet Set

Cozy Earth Bamboo Viscose Sheet Set

The Queen set from Cozy Earth costs about $258, and I’ll be honest, I hesitated at that price. But these are hands-down the softest, most comfortable sheets I’ve ever owned. They have this silky, almost cool-to-the-touch feel that’s amazing, especially since I tend to sleep hot.

What I love most is how they handle temperature. They keep me from overheating but still feel cozy when the A/C is blasting. They’re made from bamboo viscose, and they really do seem to get softer with every single wash. They’re my go-to for the master bedroom.

The Downside: The price is definitely a splurge. And if you love bright, bold patterns, you’ll be disappointed because the color palette is pretty neutral and limited.

Brooklinen Classic Percale Core Sheet Set

At $159 for a Queen set, the Brooklinen Classic Percale sheets are my top pick for that crisp, clean hotel bed feeling. If you like your sheets to feel light and airy, this is the set for you. They are a lifesaver during hot summer months.

The first time you wash them, they can feel a little stiff, but don’t worry. After two or three cycles, they soften up beautifully while keeping that classic crispness. Plus, they come in a ton of colors and limited-edition patterns, which is fun for switching up the look of a room.

The Downside: They are definitely not soft right out of the package. You have to be patient and wash them a few times before they hit that perfect texture.

L.L.Bean 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set

L.L.Bean 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set

You can get a Queen set for $169, and true to L.L.Bean’s reputation, these things are built to last. I’ve had a set in our guest room for years and they still look brand new. No pilling, no thinning, just solid, reliable sheets.

They are made from Pima cotton, so they have that breathable, crisp percale feel that’s great for anyone who gets warm at night. They aren’t as silky as a sateen, but they’re incredibly soft and durable. A really solid value for the quality you get.

The Downside: The fitted sheet can be a bit loose on thinner mattresses, so you might have to tuck it in well. They also don’t offer a Twin XL size, which is a bummer for dorm rooms.

Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Core Sheet Set

The Luxe Sateen set from Brooklinen is around $200 for a Queen and feels completely different from their percale. These are for people who want a super smooth, almost buttery texture. They have a slight sheen to them that looks really elegant on the bed.

We use these in the fall and winter when we want something that feels a little cozier. They also have these handy “long side” and “short side” tags on the fitted sheet, which sounds like a small thing, but it saves so much frustration when making the bed. It’s a simple touch that I really appreciate.

The Downside: If you have a really thick mattress with a plush topper, the fitted sheet might be a bit of a struggle to get on. It fits our standard mattress just fine, though.

Quince Bamboo Sheet Set

Quince Bamboo Sheet Set

For $130 (Queen), the Quince bamboo sheets are an incredible deal. If you want that super soft, temperature-regulating feel of bamboo without the high price tag of some other brands, this is the way to go. They feel almost identical to more expensive sets I’ve tried.

They are cool to the touch and fit our mattress perfectly, with deep pockets that don’t slip off the corners in the middle of the night. For the price, the quality is just fantastic. They’ve held up really well in the wash for us.

The Downside: I’ve heard from friends that some of the more popular colors and sizes can sell out quickly, so you might have to keep an eye out for restocks.

ettitude Signature Bamboo Sheet Set

ettitude Signature Bamboo Sheet Set

This set from ettitude is about $200 for a Queen. Their big selling point is the patented “CleanBamboo” fabric, which is supposed to be hypoallergenic and great for sensitive skin. I can say they feel incredibly soft and gentle.

They have that same silky, breathable quality as other bamboo sheets, making them perfect for year-round comfort. If you or someone in your family struggles with allergies or skin irritation, these are a really good option to consider. They just feel very clean and pure.

The Downside: The color selection is a bit limited compared to other brands, focusing more on earthy, muted tones. Not a lot of bold options here.

Coyuchi Cloud Soft Organic Sateen Sheet Set

At $250 for a Queen, Coyuchi is an investment in organic bedding. You can feel the quality right away. These aren’t just soft; they feel substantial and well-made, like they’re going to last for a decade.

I love that they’re made from 100% organic cotton, which is important to a lot of people. They have a sateen weave, so they’re very smooth and have a nice drape. These are the sheets you buy when you want to feel good about your purchase and also get something that’s genuinely luxurious.

The Downside: The price is high, no doubt about it. And their style is very minimalist and natural, so you won’t find a huge variety of patterns or bright colors.

Boll & Branch Flannel Sheet Set

Boll & Branch Flannel Sheet Set

These flannel sheets are our winter staple, and they cost around $220 for a Queen set. Getting into bed on a cold night with these is one of life’s simple pleasures. They are so velvety and warm without ever feeling heavy or making me sweat.

Unlike cheap flannel that pills after one wash, these hold up incredibly well. They are made in Portugal and just feel so much more plush and durable. They’re perfect for anyone who is always cold or just wants that ultimate cozy winter bedding experience.

The Downside: They’re definitely on the pricier side for flannel. I have noticed a tiny bit of pilling after a couple of seasons of heavy use, but nothing major.

What to Look For in a Good Sheet Set

After all this testing, I’ve learned that thread count isn’t the only thing that matters. A 300-thread-count sheet made from high-quality long-staple cotton will feel a million times better than a 1,000-thread-count sheet made from cheap, short fibers.

The weave makes a huge difference, too. Percale is that light, crisp, and breathable fabric that’s great for hot sleepers. Sateen is silkier, smoother, and a little warmer, giving you that more luxurious, drapey feel. It really just comes down to personal preference.

My best advice is to invest what you can in one really great set of sheets. You spend a third of your life in bed, so it’s worth it to make it as comfortable as possible. You’ll feel the difference on that first night, I promise.
