The Downside: The fabric is noticeably thinner than more premium options like Cozy Earth.

The Birdy Grey Jenna set costs $59. I originally thought of these for bridesmaids’ gifts, but honestly, they’re great for anyone who wants to feel a little chic while lounging.

The Downside: The care label recommends hand washing, which is a bit of a pain for pajamas.

The fabric is super stretchy, so you can often get a little more wear out of each size. I love that there are no annoying tags or snaps, and the fun prints let kids show off their personality.

The Downside: The brand doesn’t have any independent certifications like OEKO-TEX.

A Kyte Baby pajama set runs around $36. This brand uses a fabric that’s 97% bamboo rayon, which is one of the highest concentrations I’ve seen. You can feel the difference.

They are OEKO-TEX certified and do a great job of regulating temperature, which is so important for keeping babies comfortable through the night. I appreciate that they have great size coverage for little ones.

The Downside: For baby clothes, the prices are on the higher end.

The Downside: I’ve heard from others that the quality on some of the newer prints has been a little inconsistent.

 

 

What I Look For in Bamboo Sleepwear

When I’m shopping for bamboo pajamas, the first thing I look at is the fabric blend. Most of the best ones use about 95% viscose or rayon from bamboo and 5% spandex. That little bit of spandex gives them the perfect amount of stretch without compromising the soft feel.

I also try to look for an OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification. This just means the fabric has been tested and found free of harmful substances, which is especially important for anything that sits against your skin all night.

And don’t forget to check the care instructions! Most bamboo sleepwear does best with a cold, gentle wash and a low-heat tumble dry. Taking care of them properly makes sure they stay buttery soft for years.
